Tip : Since I don't have recycling in my area, I save all my bottles etc. and take them to my daughter's bin when I go. The newspapers go to the local school. Food scraps that would go into a trash, I use for making compost

Tip : For birthdays, I wrap the present in newspaper or old magazines then put it in a canvas bag so the recipient can use the bag for grocery shopping.

Tip : I carry my own utensils. Actually I found lots of great options at a camping store. The one I use is a spork style polycarb utensil. With this always in my purse I don't use disposable utensils.

Tip : I have a tote bag that folds up and fits into a matching little bag that I carry in my small purse to take home unexpected purchases in. Every time I use it I unpack it immediately to put it back in my purse so I always know where it is.
